Let’s exchange views on the value biophilia brings to the built environment

About this event

Since the start of the pandemic, and seeking a better connection with nature while indoors, many of us have started collecting all sorts of houseplants and through a period when we have needed to feel happy in our homes Biophilia has taken a front seat.

A few weeks ago we reached out to our network and asked whether they would be interested in planning a networking event that would allow us to swap some plants with each other and in doing so grow our collection thoughtfully.

The time has come to do so.

The running on the day will be as follow:

  • On arrival, each person will be signed in and get as many tickets as plants/cuttings they bring (it is up to you how many you want to bring. Don’t feel pressure)
  • They will then place their plants/ cuttings on a table
  • We will listen to our keynote speaker explain the impact that biophilia can have on the built environment (We will shortly announce who our speaker is)
  • We will proceed to network while looking at the plants on the table and once we have a chance to do this, we will begin the swap.

We are only asking that you bring healthy specimens, please.

  • If you have many plants and need to downsize, bring those along and find them a new family.
  • If you are starting looking after plants, bring your questions, someone might have the experience you need.
  • If you only have a couple of plants, come along and see how helpful it is to swap plants.
  • if you have any questions, email chair@nawic.london
