Business Breakfast: Overcoming the Imposter Syndrome

OVERCOMING IMPOSTER SYNDROME

Are there enough women of insight and influence at your table?

Despite the strong business case that exists for gender diversity at board-level, many companies still struggle with progressing their best female talent to senior level positions.

Surveys reflect that self-belief, rather than capabilities or experience, hold women back from putting themselves forward for promotion significantly more than men, and while this may not be the only factor, it is a critical factor that holds female leaders back.

Join Mark Sharratt, Dale Carnegie Director, founder of Energy Alchemy and a recognised expert on developing high performance workplace cultures, as he tackles this question.

Some of the topics he explores include:

The key factors affecting diversity at board-level
A critical leadership coaching habit that directly builds self-confidence in others
Improving the development of senior talent in your organisation
In this discussion we will experience a simple coaching method that has a proven track record of building greater self-confidence and that has the potential of elevating our female leaders of the future.

We’ll start with networking from 8:30am, with the presentation to start at 9am, followed by time for networking with NAWIC members after the event.

Kindly hosted by Avison Young, this event is free for members.
