About the event:

The “Ladies Take Over Event” is a collaboration between the Worshipful Company of Constructors and the National Association of Women in Construction and it is kindly sponsored by Mayer Brown.

It is an event  for women who work in construction and who may never have thought about joining a City of London livery company, or felt empowered enough to take up a leadership role, come and see what is possible and join together!.

The Worshipful Company of Constructors is a City of London livery company that represents the construction industry.  They are proud to support the Lord Mayor, Sheriffs and Aldermen of The City and the work they do in guiding the work of The City Corporation. They would like to welcome more women to join us as members, take part in their work and aspire to taking up leadership roles.

Come and join us for a prosecco networking reception in Canary Wharf,  with prominent industry speakers and a fun fundraising prize draw, whilst enjoying the stunning panoramic views of London.

The evening is to encourage attendees to find out, meet and enquire about  the opportunity for women to advance through the Livery, acquire voting rights and the potential to take up key leadership positions in the City. As well as to network, inspire and open new opportunities through the network.

Speakers:

Master Mike Parrett of WCoC/Sue Kershaw of KPMG. Along with our chair of NAWIC London and South East,Cristina Lanz Azcarate, who shall give a short talk about NAWIC’s advocacy work for women in the sector and the project  The Image of Women in Construction.

Worth noting:

There will be a price draw, winner picked from business card pot, and a raffle to raise funds for The Image of Women in Construction, with prices including: An Ipad to a half day portrait shoot worth £600.
