NAWIC LDN&SE Conference Speakers: Susan Room

 
Susan Room is a professional voice and executive coach who helps people think and speak with greater confidence and clarity. She works one-to-one and with groups for clients including EY, the Financial Times, and several global financial and technology firms. She is a popular guest speaker, particularly at women’s events, and speaks and coaches pro-bono for the 30% Club.

Prior to coaching, Susan was group marketing director and Executive Committee Member of Danish ISS A/S, JLW (now JLL) and Lafarge Tarmac (now Tarmac). Whilst raising her son she worked as an independent consultant – notably advising the Chairman and management team of global engineering partnership Scott Wilson prior to its flotation and subsequent acquisition by URS then AECOM. During this time she also designed and built a sustainable home with her architect husband Timothy Ball, with whom she co-founded jhd Architects.

Susan is trained as a Professional Certified Coach, and is a member of the International Coach Federation. She holds a Master’s degree in Voice Studies with distinction from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, is a member of the Voice And Speech and Trainers Association (VASTA) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
